The Gay Men's Chorus of Tampa Bay wants you!
Come out of the shower! Step away from the karaoke mic! Sing with GMCTB! Whether you’re interested in singing with the chorus, or joining our devoted family of volunteers, we’d love to hear from you.
Auditions are held twice a year, in August and January, and you don't have to identify as gay, or even male, to sing with us! We only require that you are willing and able to sing a traditional male vocal part: tenor, baritone, or bass. If you’re interested in auditioning, please complete the Contact Form below.
Non-singing volunteers are members of the 5th Section. Primarily responsible to set up and provide snacks during rehearsals and provide support during events and concerts for major events.
All interested singers are encouraged to audition. Prior choral singing experience and elementary music reading skill is helpful, but it is not a prerequisite. Appointments are required for auditions.
Most music is performed from memory at concerts. Weekly rehearsals are Mondays from 7-10 pm and members must commit to: 1) attending 90% of rehearsals; 2) a day-long retreat each concert cycle; 3) tech/dress rehearsals, and 4) singing with the chorus for the full year.
Auditions to join GMCTB as a singing member are Saturday, August 3, from 10 am to 2 pm and on Monday, August 5, from 7 pm until 9 pm. Please complete and submit the contact form below and we’ll contact you to set up a time for your brief audition.
We’re looking forward to singing with you!

Tell us more about yourself in the message block below. What choral experience do you have? What voice parts have you sung before? Do you play any instruments? Or let us know if you would like to be part of our 5th Section, our non-singing support volunteers.
